Inside Look at Bekan: The Author

Today I realized something. No matter what I do with my life, part of me will always be a blogger. Plain and simple, I love to write, and I am able to do that with this job.

So, part of the Inside Look at Bekan, I will take you through the personnel that works for Bekan Insurance Group. The ultimate plan is to interview each person, and give you a look into how we work for you. The first person on the list is...guess who? ME!

My name is Brendan. I'm a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, where I got my Marketing degree from the storied Kelley School of Business. Currently, I'm working as an Online Marketing Specialist for Bekan Insurance Group, blogging my little fingers away for you all.

I've been a blogger for the past few years. I started writing my personal blog at A Lean Night, then currently at my sports blog, JV Backups, Bekan's Official Blog, and here. I have gained a good amount of experience, and I enjoy doing it every day. Additionally, I am a huge sports and music fan. I have already showed you a bit of both in my work here. I love the Chicago Cubs, Blackhawks, and golf. On the music side of things, some of my favorite artists are Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, The Hold Steady, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Modest Mouse, Cassino and many, many more. I love music. It does great things for people.

Thus, I'll be doing something here that I did frequently on A Lean Night. I'll end each blog with a song referral and a link to its Youtube video. It's just another way I like to give my readers an inside look into my life.

So, today's song of the day comes from a song that I just can't get out of my head lately. It's "All My Friends," by LCD Soundsystem. The song lets us know that we always need friends, especially as we age. Go drop everything after work and meet your friends. Along with your family, they will always be the most important part of your life.

And, I guess it wouldn't be a Bekan blog if I didn't reference you over to our parent site. While you're there, check out the official blog, get yourself a free insurance quote, and even enroll in our drawing to win a FREE iPod Touch. Believe me, it's worth it.

(On our next edition of Inside Look at Bekan, we will interview the head honcho, Jim Langen.)
